Brian Hoyer, E.J. Manuel Leave With Knee Injuries; Josh Freeman a Replacement?

The Thursday night game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns was nothing short of a bloodbath as both team’s quarterbacks were injured during the game and would not return. The first quarterback to hit the dirt was Ohio-native and Cleveland sensation Brian Hoyer, who injured his left knee after a bogus slide attempt that was embarrassing to say the least.

Reports say that Hoyer suffered some ligament damage on the slide, which means he could wind up injured reserve before Week 6 comes about.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the Bills also face a dilemma as E.J. Manuel was injured in the third quarter with a knee injury that didn’t seem to serious at the time. However, Manuel didn’t return to the field, which means Buffalo and Cleveland could both be looking for replacements.

Josh Freeman is grinning from ear to ear.

After his release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, the ex-Buccaneers quarterback could be on the Bills’ roster sooner rather than later.
