Aaron Rodgers-Less Packers Fall To Bears; Chicago Can Taste Postseason

The Green Bay Packers went into their Monday Night contest with the Chicago Bears as 10.5-point favorites. Well, I hope you didn’t bet on the Pack in this one.
Not only did Green Bay fail to cover, the Packers suffered their first divisional loss of the season as the Bears walked away from Lambeau Field with a win. Chicago can thank an excellent performance from back-up quarterback Josh McCown for this victory. Speaking of QBs; the one up in Green Bay is not doing so hot. Aaron Rodgers was on the field for just one drive as he left the game early with a shoulder injury that many are calling a broken collarbone. Moreover, time will tell if Rodgers’ shoulder injury is something that will derail the Packers, or if it’s nothing but some soreness.

Either way, Rodgers is an NFL MVP candidate nearly every season and the Packers have built their franchise around this star quarterback. Now, the team rests in the hands of Seneca Wallace or maybe even Brett Favre? Just kidding. But, the Packers could take a stab at recently-released Matt Flynn, who is extremely familiar with the Packers’ offensive system. On a more serious note; the Bears should be proud of this victory as they improve to 5-3 thanks to a perfect all-around game on the offensive side of the ball.
At the end of the day; it’s far too early to say the Bears are out of the NFC playoff picture as they really flexed their muscles on Sunday night.
