Jameis Winston Clearly Not Distracted As Florida State Improves To 10-0

Well folks, the front-runner for 2013 Heisman Trophy is still playing lights out football.

Jameis Winston was in the news earlier this week for his party habits gone wrong (allegedly), but the freshman quarterback is in good graces with Florida State Seminoles fans once again after another super Saturday in Week 12. With a sexual assault case hanging over his head; many thought that Winston would slip up against the Syracuse Orange in Week 12. Yeah — “Famous Jameis” had other ideas.

Instead, Winston completed 19 of his 21 passes, tossed for 277 yards and two scores as Florida State thumped Syracuse by a final score of 59-3. At just 19 years old, Winston is easily the most polarizing athlete in college football, and he’s not letting a possible felony charge ruin his incredible season. With over 30 touchdowns on the year, Winston is on the fast track to the Heisman Trophy and the only thing stopping him at this point is the courts.

With that being said, the Duke Blue Devils are playing great football of late and David Cutcliffe‘s upstart team might have something to say about the Seminoles’ ACC Title hopes.
