The West Virginia and South Florida match-up scheduled for tonight not only has Big East title implications on the line for the Mountaineers, but it will also pit perhaps the best two quarterbacks in the conference against each other.

West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith is the odds-on favorite to win Big East player of the year, especially if he can lead the Mountaineers to a victory and Big East championship.

Smith has thrown for 3,741 yards and 25 touchdowns along with only five interceptions. He has helped lead West Virginia to one of the best passing attacks in the country.

South Florida quarterback B.J. Daniels has passed for 2,378 yards and 12 touchdowns with only six interceptions. He is one of the biggest dual-threat quarterbacks in the country and has also rushed for 578 yards and five touchdowns.

Both quarterbacks rank near the top of the country in yards from scrimmage. They are big time playmakers who do it all for their teams.

As both are juniors, they are likely to be back for their senior seasons, where they will not only be the best two quarterbacks in the conference, but two of the best in the entire country.

Their respective teams rely heavily on both players, and it is no telling where these teams would be without their quarterbacks.

Tonight when they take the field, the nation will be watching two of the best quarterbacks the country has to offer.

Whomever of the two has the better game will likely lead his team to victory and in the case of West Virginia a Big East title in the process.
