RANT It!

Over the last few months, Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III has come to be known not only for his football prowess, but for his outlandish trademark socks as well. Now, however, people my be paying more attention to his shoes.

Earlier today TeamAdidas welcomed the probable top 5 draft pick, affectionately known as RGIII, to the Adidas family.

Though it is expected that Standford’s Andrew Luck will be the first player chosen in this year’s NFL draft, most of the excitement centering around the draft class has centered around the prolific and electrifying RGIII.

As part of the partnership between the two, the former Baylor quarterback who led the Bears to a rare 10-3 record and Alamo Bowl victory is the center of Adidas’ new ad campaign, “All In.”

Adidas will feature RGIII in a series of advertising campaigns centered around their adiZero line, and will debut their new shoe at this year’s NFL combine later this week. The shoe, the adiZero 5-Star low, is said to weigh 6.9 oz, making it the lightest in football. He will also take part in the development of football, running, and training gear for the sports apparel company.
