In case you have been living under a rock the past two weeks, Jeremy Lin is taking over the sports world. He has tagged in from Tim Tebow as America's new hero, and unlike Tebow, this cat can ball.

Jeremy Lin is the real-life version of Prince in the Chapelle's Show skit - minus the blouses.

As a baseball junkie, this Lin stuff got me to thinking, who will be baseball's version of Jeremy Lin?

Now, it's almost impossible for a baseball player to have such a pop culture impact. The best example I can think of is when Shane Spencer came into the league for the Yankees. Spencer had a ridiculous two-month stretch from August through September. And after that season, Spencer became what his talent level was - a fourth outfielder.

Baseball is a game where everything evens out after a while, so it's hard to predict who can have an impact. But, I tried to accomplish this feat.

Here are ten players who are considered after thoughts at this point in their career. It might be a player who's age (25 or older) is a deterrent, or a failed prospect that needs to produce now before it's too late.

Here are the 10 Jeremy Lin's of the 2012 MLB season.
