VIDEO: Baltimore Orioles Fan Runs On Field During Opening Day

I do not know what is stranger. The fact that a fan decided it is a good idea to charge onto the field during the game between the Minnesota Twins and the Baltimore Orioles or the fact that Baltimore actually has fans. Seriously, do people even go to Orioles games these days? The team has been so bad for so long that you would think fans would be avoiding the place like the plague. Apparently, it still attracts the drunk section of the potential fanbase.

This guy definitely wanted his 15 minutes of fame. Apparently radio calls of the incident were the best part of it. I am sure that this guy just attended his last Orioles game, but maybe that is what he was hoping for. This is a sure fire way to get banned from the stadium and that should be the result of this incident.

I wonder what his thought process was. I was in attendance at the Green Bay Packers - Detroit Lions game this past season when a fan ran onto the field and was tackled by Packers linebacker Brad Jones. I have no idea why you would want to run onto the field and disrupt the game. Aren’t you at the game to actually watch the game? Why would you want to get kicked out?

We will never know the rationale behind this incident. In fact, I bet that we probably don’t want to know. Every possible reason that this fan would have would sound stupid.
