I swear I was just thinking yesterday about the Minnesota Vikings releasing Donovan McNabb and him becoming a member of the Chicago Bears. Well one of those scenarios appears to have occurred. His time with the Vikings has come to an end. Now the next part of this remains to be seen.

I’m sure McNabb would love to come home to Chicago and attempt to win that allusive ring. He feels he has some football left in his near Hall of Fame career, but he hasn’t been the same player the last few years. After a bad season last year with the Washington Redskins and an invisible year with the Vikings, perhaps for a few games he can locate the magic again for the Chicago Bears. I’m just not sure if this ship has sailed. He’s perhaps a bit too old and a bit more beat up.

I could see him falling in the waiver process to the Bears. It would be a great story and one we would all certainly love to see. On top of the Bears winning, a local boy comes home and pulls a Jake Taylor from Major League. He finds just enough of his old self to help the Bears win. He’d shove it up many people’s rear-ends. I’ve gotten way ahead of myself. There’s still a chance that Jay Cutler will return and frankly, I’m not sure if McNabb can play any better than Caleb Hanie.

But I’m thinking that McNabb is better than Josh McCown and could provide a viable backup to Hanie if he goes down. I say go for it Bears, because all that’s left is to win the whole effing thing!

I am a fan of McNabb. It would be great if the bears could claim him on waivers and sign T.O. and maybe we’ll get half a Tebow. Just win baby! LOL alright in all seriousness, I don’t think McNabb is the answer. My question is how hurt is Forte, because he hasn’t been producing lately. His production is down and we all know he can produce, he’s just not getting touches. He isn’t getting the amount of rushing attempts that he should be getting, even if he’s splitting the work with Barber he should be getting 25+. Martz needs to go back to the formula that makes the Bears successful… run, run and more run. I think they should let Martz go and make Tice the offensive coordinator and Lovie should call the plays on offense or Martz should retire so he could ride off into the sunset with Kurt Warner…lol My opinion.
Wonder if Houston would trade Martz for Wade Phillips… hmmm?? If we’re able to trade players we should be able to trade coaches.

Not you too?!?! Really? McNabb? Didn’t you watch how old and bad he was at Soldier Field just a few weeks ago? Has he suddenly found the fountain of youth or the fountain of not bad?
