Video: Shonn Greene Trucks a Ref in Monday Night’s Game
Monday night’s game between the Jets and Dolphins wasn’t the most exciting game in the world. In fact, it was pretty ugly. The best play of the game happened well after the game was in hand. Shonn Greene was known for his highlight reel that he put together his senior year at Iowa, but hasn’t done a whole lot sense. Tonight was another quiet game but Greene added a play for the highlight reel.
Greene gets the carry on a 3rd down play and is determined to run over anyone in his path. That happened to include the poor referee who happened to stand in his way. The ref was not the first person to be trucked by Greene and certainly will not be the last.
The ref should contact Frank Duong for advice on how to deal with such a trucking. The former Purdue safety was driven into the turf in 2008 by a rampaging Greene in a similar manner. In fact, I think he still may be lodged there as we speak.
