Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy Thought Matt Barkley’s Name Was ‘Mark’

Over the last couple of weeks, LeSean McCoy of the Philadelphia Eagles has been making headlines after the running back lost to 32-year-old Michael Vick in a 40-yard-dash. Now, it appears McCoy is making headlines for not knowing the name of one of his newest teammates–Matt Barkley.

Apparently, McCoy must not follow college football or the NFL Draft as much as some of the other players in the league considering Barkley has been one of the most popular players at the collegiate level over the last four seasons. Barkley has been one of the popular rookies to keep an eye on over the last couple of weeks as many believe Philadelphia could end up with one of the biggest steals from this year’s draft class considering the former USC star was expected to be a top-10 pick last year.

It may seem like a long shot at this point, but Barkley will do whatever it takes to compete for the starting job next season–even if Michael Vick seems like the favorite at this point. And if Barkley does manage to somehow win the starting job, you can count on McCoy remembering his name during the regular season considering he’ll be the one handing the football off to the running back.

Either way, this is still a hilarious story to hear about and it’s safe to say McCoy will most likely hear about this for the rest of the season.
