Report: Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose Agree to 5 Year Extension
Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

Chicago Bulls fans can rest easy.  KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Bulls and the youngest MVP in NBA history have agreed to a 5 year extension worth roughly 94 million dollars.  Rose is making 10 or 11 million more dollars in this extension due to the “Derrick Rose rule”, which is new to the CBA.  It rewards players who outperform their rookie contract.

This move was a mere formality, but important none the less.  The Bulls have locked up their best player at a reasonable price.  Rose is only 23 years old and he’s still getting better.  With an added post game and expanded shooting range, Rose looks to be a favorite for the MVP every year.   His next goal is to push the Bulls into the NBA Finals.
