Video: Kevin Harlan’s Wacky Call Of CJ Miles’s Dunk
There are just a few announcers who make sports that much better. Gus Johnson, Vin Scully, Marv Albert fall into this category. Kevin Harlan happens to as well, but his is for a more wacky version. Harlan is known for his odd descriptions of calls. Earlier this year, he made reference to the Penguin, who is best known as a Batman villain, during a Utah Jazz game. Thursday night was another Jazz game and it had a couple wacky calls as well.
CJ Miles’s dunk is impressive, but the call is even better:
Take me to the dance, kick up your heels! CJ Miles dropping the anvil!
I have no idea what that first part means, but it is just fantastic. I want to pick Harlan’s brain sometime to figure out how he comes up with these sayings. He’s making basketball more entertaining, one game at a time.
