Stephen Jackson has been highly regarded as a great teammate, but he also has a reputation of having a bad temper and being a hothead. Jackson, over his many years of playing in the NBA, has bought into the idea of a team, even if his team is not playing so well and he demands a trade. If Jackson sees the light at the end of the tunnel, like the playoffs, then he’ll just stay quiet, go out, and give it 110% every night. Well I guess Milwaukee isn’t the sort of place for Jackson because, as it stands right now, he is not happy there.

Now although Jackson has not, and will not, come out publicly and say that he does not like Milwaukee and he wants out there have been clues that he feels this way. Jackson was recently removed from the starting lineup and relegated to a, not as important, role off the bench. Here is one of the clues that Jackson is sick of Milwaukee and wants out. From Howie Magner of Milwaukee Magazine on Twitter (via Yahoo! Sports):

The Bucks have played better recently but in an Eastern Conference that is already stacked with great, talented teams, it would be kind of hard to think that the Bucks would have any chance of making a deep run in the playoffs. This view of Jackson’s comes as no surprise, it’s  just the latest in a long of stars who feel that everyone needs to give in to their demands. Like when Jackson said this in early December, ”If guys come in here not focused on a championship, just making the playoffs, we need to trade them. We need to be talking about championship and nothin’ else. You can’t limit yourself to just playoffs. Who wants to do that? Playoffs is not really an achievement to me. Anybody can get to the playoffs.”

Now I know that what Jackson is saying is true, I mean who wants a bunch of guys who aren’t dedicated to winning an NBA championship, after all that is what everyone in the NBA is playing for. But don’t you think heshould of just kept this private, between him and Bucks general manager John Hammond? Clearly Jackson had to know that someone on the team was slacking off and by making these comments he was inadvertently calling them out. If Jackson really wants out of Milwaukee then him leaving could be best for both parties.
