Video: NBA Referee Asks Dirk Nowitzki “Do You Want To Go?”

Eric Dalen is not the NBA referee that you want to mess around with.  He gave a technical foul to Dirk Nowitzki Tuesday night and when Dirk came over to protest, he asked him four times “Do you want to go?”

I’m fairly certain this doesn’t mean that he wanted to fight Nowitzki, but he was clearly ready to eject him.  Sometimes refs think the game is about them, but I don’t mind a ref bringing a game back under control.  Some star players are allowed to whine the entire game, which takes away from the product.
