Did you know that Vanilla Ice was still rapping?  I did not know that, but I learned that Friday night.  Ice was in the Twin Cities and did the halftime show for the Minnesota Timberwolves.  Strangely enough, it looked everyone was enjoying the show.

I am not sure why he did the halftime show and I’m not sure if people actually knew who he was.  Ice has fallen off the map.  I can’t even remember the last time he released a song or a CD or made a musical appearance of any type.

I wonder who passed up the gig that Ice was able to perform.  Must have been a slow musical day in the Twin Cities.  There has to be a lot of aspiring rappers or singers and then they went with a retread artist from the early 1990s.  Maybe not the best way to sell your product, but I’m not in charge of PR for the Wolves.

At least Ice kept with the one song that everyone knows.  ”Ice, Ice Baby” probably won’t ever get old.  You can hate Vanilla Ice, but you can’t hate the musical stylings of that song.  Represent, yo.
