Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Sam Hurd– and current Chicago Bear–has been arrested on federal drug charges based in Dallas.
Per the Dallas Morning News, authorities in Dallas noted that Hurd allegedly attempted to purchase drugs from a major supplier in North Texas and the Dallas-based office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be handling the pending investigation.
According to recent reports, Hurd and his associates were in negotiations with undercover federal agents to obtain five-to-ten kilos of cocaine, and 1,000 pounds of marijuana per week to deal in Chicago, and upon receipt of the first kilo of cocaine was arrested by a federal agent.
It’s unreal how these types of arrests continue to happen over and over again. For some reason– which is well beyond my scope of understanding– some pro athletes also want to be drug kingpins on the side.
Either way Sam Hurd joins an exclusive club here at FanAttic.
Welcome to the Hall of Morons, Sam!
