Despite the Denver Broncos losing 45-10 to the New England Patriots in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, John Elway has announced that Tim Tebow has at least earned the right to begin the 2012 season as the top QB in Denver. I know that the season ended bitterly; even though the Broncos were not expected to beat the Patriots, they did believe that they could, but in all they were much improved from the Broncos of the last few years.

If you consider that Tebow had only one off season and it was an off season in which the NFL was locked out and shortened. With a full offseason to work with the quarterbacks coach and John Elway, Tebow will have every opportunity to improve his passing skills and be a all around better QB in 2012. Elway has stated that he wants to work with Tebow heavily in the offseason and that he has earned a shot at becoming the franchise QB.

I am very interested to see how Tebow progresses and if Denver sticks with him. It was an exciting 2011 and it’s only going to get better in 2012. Plan to see lots of controversy, opinions, Tebow magic, and struggles, but most of all expect improvement and another great year from the Denver Broncos.
