We all know that Miami Heat‘s LeBron James and Oklahoma City Thunder‘s Kevin Durant are the best two players in fantasy basketball. There may be a debate as to which player is actually more valuable, but there is no argument that they are both respectfully one and two on every list.
After the obvious two superstars, Paul George of the Indiana Pacers is quickly becoming one of the best talents in fantasy. Now George may not be in the Lebron/ Durant category just yet, but he is certainly closing the gap. He earned the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award in 2013 and the 23-year-old has quietly matured into one of the game’s best scorers.

George is averaging an astonishing 25.8 points per game this season to go along with 8.2 rebounds, four assists, and 1.8 steals. He has already racked up two 30-point performances for fantasy owners this season and has taken complete control of Indiana’s offense. His stat line is showing that he is doing more than just score points, though. The third-year pro is also grabbing boards, dishing out assists, and playing immaculate defense.
George showed glimpses of his potential in last year’s loss to the Miami Heat in the Conference Finals, as he averaged 19.4 points per game, but he has continued to mature this year into an all-around fantasy superstar. He is truly having a breakout fantasy campaign this season.
The former Fresno State star will carry many fantasy owners in scoring this season and will challenge the league for the scoring title. He will easily drop 20 points a game and the small forward will finally develop into a top-10 fantasy option.
