Week 12 Fantasy Football Dark Horse Sleeper: QB Mike Glennon

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

As we approach the end of the fantasy football season, it becomes more and more important to know which quarterback to start and which quarterback to leave on the pine. At this point, a wrong decision can literally end your season.

With that being said, one guy to make to have in your lineup for Week 12 is QB Mike Glennon of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He looked very impressive last weekend in the team’s 41-28 thrashing of the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie completed 20 of his 23 passes for 231 yards and two touchdowns. It was a flawless fantasy performance from the young gunslinger.

Glennon has now thrown at least one touchdown pass in every game this season. He has also been extremely careful with the ball. Glennon has thrown just one interception over the last five games and the kid continues to mature into a great game-manager. He won’t throw over 300 yards too often, but he won’t turn the ball over much either.

Glennon has another favorable matchup this Sunday, as the team faces off against the Detroit Lions. Detroit that was just torched by the Pittsburgh Steelers last week and allowed QB Ben Roethlisberger to rack up 367 passing yards to go along with four touchdown passes. Now Glennon doesn’t posses the arm strength of Big Ben, but he should be able to have a monster game of his own.

Glennon will be a great sleeper play this Sunday and should have no problem throwing two more touchdowns. If you own the rookie signal caller, make sure to get him in your lineup this Sunday.
