Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

This past week of fantasy hockey action had several sticks step up to post some gaudy numbers. So before moving on to Week 19, here are some of the biggest fantasy performances from Week 18.

C Claude Giroux, Philadelphia Flyers – After a slow start, Giroux has picked up his game this month. The middleman has racked up five points this past week and the veteran now has 32 points over the last 28 games.

LW Zach Parise, Minnesota Wild – Parise has been on fire this week. He finished the scoring period with eight points (3G/5A), 14 shots on goals, three power play points, and one game-winning goal. It was truly an All-Star performance from Parise this week.

RW Phil Kessel, Toronto Maple Leafs – Kessel has racked up seven points in his last three games, including three goals and four assists. The forward continues to show up in the box score night after night.

LW James van Riemsdtk, Toronto Maple Leafs – JVR added five points last week and the winger is in the middle of a breakout season. The 24-year-old now has 45 points on the year and will continue to anchor fantasy lineups on a weekly basis.

RW Marian Hossa, Chicago Blackhawks – Hossa is having another productive season. The 35-year-old has 47 points on the year, including four points (2G/2A) in three games last week. He racked up nine shots and two power play points as well.

RW Joel Ward, Detroit Red Wings – Ward has now scored a goal in three straight games, including four goals and one helper. The veteran has been receiving plenty of ice time with the team’s recent injuries and the 33-year-old hasn’t disappointed.
