Top 10 Catchers Heading Into Week 4

Catchers are not an easy position to find a player who excels. When it comes to fantasy drafting, the catcher is usually one of the last positions filled and it's because there isn't too much value at the position. Not many catchers excel on offense.

With that being said, let's take a look at the catchers who did excel in week three and, if they are available, you should pick them up to replace your struggling catcher.

Yadier Molina is always on the top catchers of the previous week list. The veteran Cardinals signal caller is also a force at the plate. I would probably rank him as the top catcher in baseball right now.

Navarro isn't exactly a superstar catcher, but the veteran player has been a solid plate contributor. He's driving in runs this year at a solid pace, and a third of them came in week three.

The Chicago Cubs haven't won a series in 11 tries, but that hasn't stopped them from continuing the fight. Even Castillo's stellar numbers from week three couldn't stop the bleeding from the streak of series losses.

Atlanta Braves fans have quickly fallen in love with Evan Gattis over the past couple of seasons. He was nearly a legend after a few games and showings of his immense power. Week three was one of those power shows.

Week 3 Stats: .300 AVG, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 Runs, .364 OBP

The White Sox are one of the hottest offensive teams in the league recently and Tyler Flowers is following that exact trend set by his own team.

Week 3 Stats: .400 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 4 Runs, .429 OBP

5. Kurt Suzuki, Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins aren't exactly an offensive juggernaut, but they have been able to keep up with the rest of the division thus far in 2014. Suzuki is relatively new to this team and he's trying to be a solid hitting catcher like Joe Mauer was.

Week 3 Stats: .353 AVG, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 1 Run, .455 OBP

4. Chris Iannetta, Los Angeles Angels

The Angels have the best offense in baseball right now and one of the hottest hitting catchers. Chris Iannetta was absolutely on fire in week three -- and if he's available in your league, pick him up.

Week 3 Stats: .400 AVG, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 5 Runs, 1 SB, .667 OBP

3. Wilin Rosario, Colorado Rockies

Wilin Rosario is one of the best young catchers in baseball right now and is quite the budding star behind the plate and at the plate. He's likely owned in all fantasy leagues, but if, for some reason, he's still a free agent in yours, pick him up. He can hit for average and power -- something rare from a catcher.

Week 3 Stats: .364 AVG, 1 HR, 8 RBI, 2 Runs, .364 OBP

Not many people know who Ryan Hanigan is, and that's why he's a fantasy steal right now. The Rays' catcher had a powerful week three performance and he could be on this list for quite some time.

Week 3 Stats: .400 AVG, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 3 Runs, .455 OBP

Devin Mesoraco is the hottest catcher in the league right now. If he wasn't drafted at the beginning of the year, you can bet he's found a fantasy home already. Mesoraco seemingly can't miss on anything he swings at.

Week 3 Stats: .632 AVG, 0 HR, 5 RBI, 4 Runs, 1 SB, .667 OBP
