Wide receiver Rod Streater enjoyed a decent season in 2013 with the Oakland Raiders. He nearly doubled the amount of receptions and gained over 300 more yards than he had in his rookie year. While this may seem like a small feat to some, it is actually a harbinger for Streater.
Another good sign for Streater is that they should certainly be more stable at the quarterback position in 2014 than they were last year. That fact alone should increase his value a little bit. He is a prototypical possession receiver, so the jump in receptions from year one to year two should make fantasy football owners take a look at him heading into the 2014 NFL season.
While Streater probably won’t be viewed as more of a WR-4 heading into the upcoming season, he could be considered one of the top WR-4s in all of fantasy football. Fantasy owners should want to have a player like Streater on their team as he is the type of player who can provide consistent depth off of any bench. His value as a WR-4/flex player should not be underestimated.
One of the most important factors of putting together a successful fantasy team is having quality depth that can provide during bye weeks and injury spells which happen to every team. Streater is certainly a player who has seen his stock increase this offseason, and he should be taken in the very late rounds of most fantasy drafts.
