Chris Davies is currently a senior at Illinois State University studying news editorial journalism. Born to parents of Indians and Cubs fandom, Chris had little choice but to accept losing as a part of life. Because he's a smart boy he chose the Indians and has lived a simple life of heartbreak since. In his spare time Chris enjoys playing guitar, coaching youth sports and amateur taxidermy. Though Chris is an avid Fantasy Baseball player he has never won his league; it seems that the curse of Rocky Colavito has struck even his fantasy sporting world.

Instead, you may be looking to the future and considering who your keepers should be. Everyone knows that Miguel Cabrera, Albert Pujols and Robinson Cano are going to be [...]

How waiver deals could affect your team

Posted on Saturday, August 7, 2010

The July 31 non-waiver trade deadline was a spectacular display this year and fantasy owners are still learning how their players may fit in with new teams. But teams are not done dealing for the 2010 season, and many more (possibly big) names may be relocating soon. The big question for owners is: Will my [...]

The Replacements: Quality fill-ins for injured stars

Posted on Tuesday, August 3, 2010

By Chris Davies Nothing can cripple a fantasy team like a player going down to injury. It’s impossible to plan for every injury, so for those positions that you don’t have any back up for, look to these players for some quick stat boosts. Martin Prado (2B/3B – ATL) Broken right pinky It’s going to [...]
