Jerome Miron-US PRESSWIRE

We're through the first quarter of the season, and while the contenders and the pretenders have yet to be officially separated, we have a pretty good idea of who the league's biggest disappointments might be.

There are plenty of big names that have struggled as the season has progressed in the first couple of months, like Jarome Iginla, but some of them aren't in the best of situations.

Nonetheless, there are plenty of big names out there who haven't turned in their best work, and it's taken a toll on their respective teams.

Scott Gomez was ruled ineligible for this list, as his underachieving since becoming one of the game's highest paid players deserves its own slideshow.

One Rant to “NHL’s Five Most Disappointing Players”

  1. Bootsy says:

Ever hear of Roberto Luongo? Jaroslav Halak? Cam Ward? Or several of the craptacular players on my team (Ribiero, Goligoski, Plekanec, I could go on and on…)? I’d trade you Getzlaf’s last several weeks for Luongo’s in a minute.
