Tennessee Volunteers QB Tyler Bray Likes to Have a Good Time
Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Tyler Bray likes to have him some fun.
Unfortunately, the type of fun Bray likes to have has the unfortunate consequence of drawing the attention of civic authorities. A few weeks back, Bray had his first incident of the summer when he was arrested by Knoxville police for throwing empty beer bottles off of his apartment balcony onto parked cars. You know, just a good ole-fashioned Tennessee afternoon.
While Bray and his roommate were never charged with anything, it was just the beginning of his shenanigans.
This time around, Bray recently appeared in a Knoxville court for a July 4th jet-skiing incident in which he reportedly was pulled over for “hot-dogging” his jet ski and playing chicken with other jet-skis.
What is this guy, 12?
The other jet ski in the incident tipped over and Bray sped by splashing water on to its occupants and according to authorities “was almost on top of them” in the water.
Bray pled down what were originally misdemeanor charges and promised to make some local appearances at elementary schools to espouse the value of boater safety. Well, la-de- freaking- da.
Tyler Bray should consider himself lucky. Two incidents which could easily have led to injuries, didn’t, probably by chance and luck as much as anything else.
Oh, and don’t give me the whole “he was just blowing off steam” crap, either.
That explanation died with Friday Night Lights and Billy Bob’s single-swig Bourbon pulling and shotgun shell game.
Bray’s close to adulthood– or so his age tells us– maybe he should grow up and respect his opportunity.
I know, I know, what a crazy concept. Call me a dreamer.
