Floyd Mayweather Bets $3 Million on Michigan vs. Alabama Game
Shane Mosley-US PRESSWIRE

Floyd Mayweather is allegedly putting his money where his mouth is.

Never afraid to make huge bets over $1 million on sporting events, Mayweather placed a $3 million wager on Michigan to win this Saturday over defending national champ Alabama according to popular Twitter user @incarceratedbob who was the first to report the story.

This is just flat out insane. But insanity has benefited the boxer before.

During the NBA playoffs, Mayweather reportedly won a $1.8 million bet on the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies series. He took the Clippers in Game One of the first round. LA overcame a 24-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win the game.

What luck.

Of course, Money Mayweather would tell you, you have to be good to be lucky. Luck better be on Floyd’s side this weekend. Michigan is a +14 underdog against the Tide. Mayweather has reportedly taken the points, while 69 percent of the bettors on sportsbook.ag have picked Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

The turnout could be massive for Mayweather if Michigan somehow does pull the upset. It’s going to be difficult against the Tide’s defense who always seems to reload. Saban and his staff will not let Michigan QB Denard Robinson get in to open space where he is so dangerous and can outrun anyone on the field.

The college football season kicks off tonight (Thursday) with several intriguing games.

One notable game is No. 9 South Carolina who travels to Vanderbilt. Gamblers are picking the Gamecocks to beat James Franklin and Vandy. Eighty-nine percent of bettors have put their cash on the the Ol’ Ball Coach and South Carolina at -6.5.
