UFC Fight Night takes place Aug. 28, which features an exciting lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Rafael Dos Anjos. Both of these lightweights are known for their exciting style, making this a great bout that has Fight-Of-The-Night written all over it. Both are coming off impressive wins, so they will be looking to continue their momentum come that Wednesday night.

Cerrone comes into this bout off a dominate unanimous decision over K.J. Noons. In the bout, Cerrone was able to pick Noons apart on the feet, and he was able to showcase his superior grappling skills. Cerrone has always been a great fighter both on the ground and standing, but he hasn’t been able to put everything together to make a championship run.

This was evident in his bout with Anthony Pettis, who was able to land a vicious shot to the body of Cerrone, forcing him to the canvas. Cerrone will need to make sure his defensive skills are on point against Anjos if he wants to walk away the victor.

Dos Anjos is one of the best lightweights in the world, holding knockout power in his hands and has a lethal ground game. To date, he is on a four-fight winning streak, and one more may give him the chance to fight for the title. His latest win over Evan Dunham was quite impressive, as he was able to get the better of the standing exchanges for a majority of the fight. If Anjos can defeat Cerrone, it would be a huge feather in his cap, solidifying his status as an elite lightweight.
