The Seton Hall Pirates will not have the toughest schedule in college basketball next season or anything close to it. That is probably a good thing since they did finish with an overall record of 15-18 last year. Whether the case, what is Seton Hall’s toughest non-conference schedule game?

There is a chance that the Pirates will have to play a really tough team in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic if they can beat the Oklahoma Sooners. If they can pull off that feat, they will have to take on the Michigan State Spartans.

As bad as it may be, those two games would be by far the toughest on Seton Hall’s schedule. With that said, Michigan State is a very good team and should be ranked in the top 10 to start the regular season. A top five ranking is also possible and could be the case at some point in the season regardless.

Other than those two games, Seton Hall plays a bunch of cupcakes. That is probably a really smart choice because victories are not going to come easy in the Big East. I am sure most people could have expected that since we are talking about the Big East.

I doubt the Pirates beat the Sooners, so that game will likely be the toughest of the season for Seton Hall before conference play begins.

Oklahoma should make the 2014 NCAA Tournament team, while the Pirates only won three games in the Big East last season. Not much is expected from them, while the Sooners could be one of the real surprises in the Big 12.
