Fuquan Edwin was the best player on the Seton Hall Pirates last season and he will be the best player on the team in the 2013-14 college basketball season. Let’s take a look at Edwin for the upcoming season.

Edwin averaged 16.5 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game last season. He shot 44.1 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from behind the arc. He also made 63 threes on the year. Those are very impressive numbers even if Seton Hall finished with an overall record of 15-18 and a Big East record of 3-15.

Some talent will be leaving, so Edwin will have to be that much better. He will easily be the go-to guy and he could have to shoot even more. That is not a bad thing, though, because Edwin is a very accurate shooter from anywhere on the court and he has a lot of experience under his belt.

Not only will he lead the team in scoring, but he will be one of the best rebounders… again. He averaged the second most rebounds on the team last year.

Who knows if Seton Hall will be any better in the 2013-14 season, but it will still have one of the best players in the conference.

Edwin is a very talented player to say the least, but he is really going to have to be good this year. He needs to be the leader on and off of the court and he needs to come up big in key situations. Whether the case, he should have a great year and his numbers could be even better than what they were last season.
