The Texas Longhorns are having a strong recruiting drive for the 2015 season, currently rated No. 9 in the nation. Check out these five recruits the team is still hoping to lure to the 40 acres.

Burt, who is considered the No. 10 receiver in the 2015 recruiting class, recently de-committed from the Longhorns. They still have a chance to reclaim his signature should they provide clarity over their QB situation and hire a solid receivers coach.

Coach Charlie Strong builds his teams around defense, and Hill would be another welcome addition to an increasingly strong defensive recruiting class in 2015.

The Longhorns have no real depth behind Junior back Johnathan Gray and could use Warren, who is considered in the Top 10 of running backs in the 2015 class. Warren would join other four-star RB Tristian Houston in the 40 acres.

Newsome is a four-star rated in-state target for Texas, and he would be the perfect addition to a quietly strong offensive recruiting class for Texas. They have already secured receivers DeAndre McNeal and Gilbert Johnson.

Rivals Texas A&M suffered a blow when Mack de-committed following Malik Jefferson’s commitment to the Longhorns. Despite TCU being his current leader, the Longhorns could still push to claim their second five-star prospect in this class.
