The New York Giants will travel to San Francisco to take on the 49ers this weekend, and they’ll do so without their starting runningback.

Ahmad Bradshaw has officially been ruled out after missing practice all week. Looks like backup Brandon Jacobs will get a chance to prove his worth again.

Jacobs had 18 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown last week against the Patriots. He ran hard and seemingly does better on the road—away from the booing New York fans.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of the NY Daily News, Coughlin hinted rookie Da’Rel Scott could be a part of the game plan. We finally had a Scott sighting in the Patriots game last weekend.

“If he gets opportunities,” Coughlin said, “I think he’s had a couple good weeks of practice.”

Hakeem Nicks has returned to practice this week and according to multiple sources will more than likely make the trip and play.

He returned to limited action, but is still listed as questionable. For what it’s worth, questionable has usually meant a good thing for the Giants this year.
