It’s finally here. The NFL season will finally kick off today as the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys take to the field. Here are a few things you should be paying attention to during the game.

The weather outside is frightful?: It won’t exactly be 72 and sunny at the time of the kickoff tonight. There are thunderstorms in the area before the game and there’s a chance of thunderstorms during the game tonight as well. If it rains, the ball can become slick and this could cause some issues.

So Tired: You know when the last time the Cowboys starters played a full game? New Year’s Day. The Giants? The Super Bowl. Yes both of these teams have had training camp and played preseason, but not like this. Conditioning could play a part in tonight’s game. Look for both teams to probably sub a little more than usual.

Uh-Oh Coe?: Michael Coe will be making his first career start at corner tonight. It will be interesting to see who he’s matched up against more. Will it be Dez Bryant or Miles Austin? Whoever it is, Dallas will throw that way early and often. It will be an NFL baptism under fire.

The Rhythm is gonna get you: Hakeem Nicks played in the last preseason game but hasn’t practiced a lot this week. The Giants played Eli Manning in the final preseason a little more than usual so he could get into some sort of rhythm with Nicks. I fully expect Dallas to swing their coverage more towards Victor Cruz which could give Nicks a shot at a big night

Prediction that you shouldn’t take to Vegas: Giants 31 Cowboys 23
