Week 8 Matchup: Minnesota Vikings (2-5) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Oct. 26, 1:00 p.m. ET, FOX
Stadium: Raymond James Stadium
Line: Tampa Bay (-3)
There’s not many times Tampa Bay is going to be predicted to win a game this year. However, this is one of those times. Considering the Buccaneers have only won one game in 2014, that just tells you how bad Minnesota has been this year. With that said, Tampa Bay playing at home has some to do with that.
The Buccaneers’ only win of the season came against Pittsburgh on the road. Pretty solid win. This team needs work on both sides of the ball — take your pick. Hopefully coming off a bye will help some. With that in mind, Tampa Bay lost by the score of 48-17 in its last contest.
Minnesota only lost to Buffalo by one point last week, but that loss marked the third one in a row for this team. You would think the Vikings would have success in the passing department in this Week 8 matchup. After all, the Buccaneers are 32nd in the league in opposing passing yards per game. However, the Vikings are 32nd in the NFL in passing yards per game.
Regardless, both teams could use a win. When it is all said and done, I am predicting the Vikings to come out of this one with the W. Tampa Bay’s struggles on defense will be the biggest factor in this matchup.
PREDICTION: Vikings 30, Buccaneers 21
