Week 9 Matchup: Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2-1)
TV Schedule: Sunday, Nov. 2, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS
Stadium: Paul Brown Stadium
Line: Cincinnati (-11.5)
To no one’s surprise, the Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off of a loss. The game before, however, they managed to win their first contest of 2014. Next up for the Jaguars will be the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati is coming off of a victory against the Baltimore Ravens, and has to feel pretty good about its chances of winning back-to-back games.
At one point in the 2014 NFL season, Cincinnati looked like a top team in the league. However, a recent streak of not winning for a few games kind of killed that. The team is still in a good situation when it comes to the AFC North, but that division is jam-packed, and the winner will have definitely earned it.
Unfortunately for the Jags, the odds are not in their favor to win this one. In fact, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they didn’t win another game this season. For the purposes of this game, Cincy comes in as the much better team, hence the line heavily in its favor. Plus, the Bengals will be playing at home.
Jacksonville has struggled to score this season. After all, its season-high is 24 points. The defense is not good enough to lead the Jaguars to victory, and many fans have probably already started looking forward to the next season.
With that said, Cincy wins big in this contest.
PREDICTION: Jaguars 10, Bengals 35
