Ray Rice is eligible to return to the NFL. But that doesn't mean teams are jumping at the chance to sign him. Not only does he carry a tremendous amount of baggage with him, let's not forget he was on a serious decline in 2013.

Still, you have to believe some team will give him a second chance. Here's a look at five teams who could give Ray Rice a shot in 2015:

With Steven Jackson on the decline, and Antone Smith and Jacquizz Rodgers both set to become free agents, the Falcons will be in the market for a RB in 2015. Atlanta could be an ideal landing spot for Rice because of the team's potential need, and because he'd have a shot to be a feature back once again. It's definitely not out of the question to think both sides could have mutual interest.

The RB situation in Seattle is very hazy beyond this season. If Marshawn Lynch returns, there'd be no reason for Seattle to entertain the thought of signing Ray Rice. But if Beast Mode leaves, Rice wouldn't be the worst guy to add to a mix that would consist of Robert Turbin and Christine Michael. The Seahawks are a strong enough organization to handle signing Rice, but also one that may want to avoid any unnecessary attention he would bring.

MJD will still be under contract in 2015, but Darren McFadden will not be. Depending on how Latavius Murray pans out the rest of the year, Oakland could be looking for more depth at RB next season. Historically, the Raiders are not afraid to take on players with baggage, making a partnership with Rice a fairly realistic possibility.

Jerry Jones has never been afraid of signing controversial players. The Cowboys could also use an insurance policy for DeMarco Murray. Given that an AP-Murray dual threat seems unlikely to happen in Big D, Rice wouldn't be the worst consolation prize. In a backup role on a team with an outstanding offensive line, he'd have a real chance at being successful.

With the Jets likely to be in rebuild mode next season, anything is possible in New York. There would be little pressure on the Jets or Rice if the RB ended up in green. Both sides would essentially be entering a new chapter together, with very low expectations. Plus, Rice is from New York and played college football at Rutgers. It would be a homecoming for him, and one of the few places where he could go and be cheered once again.
