Though his team lost in the National Championship to Ohio State, Marcus Mariota still has a bright future ahead of him. He entered his name into the NFL Draft today, and is expected to be a valuable prospect and potential first overall pick. There are a number of teams that will want Mariota and might be willing to give up a substantial amount for a unique player of his caliber. Here are a few teams that are in the sweepstakes for Super Mariota.

With a dominant defense and talent at the skill positions, all the Houston Texans really need is a quarterback to become a threat in the AFC. Ryan Fitzpatrick is not a long-term solution in Houston, and Ryan Mallett is unproven at the position. If coach Bill O'Brien likes what he sees in Mariota, then he might roll the dice and make a move for him.

It's uncertain for how much longer the New York Jets will experiment with Geno Smith at quarterback, but I recommend that they end it soon before it explodes. I'm not sure how Mariota's calm demeanor would fare in the fast-paced lifestyle of NYC, but I know he's better than whoever they have right now. The Jets have the sixth pick in the draft and could use it to get Mariota.

Tennessee has the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and Mariota could be available depending on what Tampa Bay does with the first pick. Both teams are looking for quarterbacks, and both Mariota and Florida State's Jameis Winston will be the best options. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of either team trading away its pick if they receive a generous offer.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can use the first overall pick to take the Heisman Trophy winner out of Oregon. He would have a number of offensive weapons at his disposal, like receivers Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans. Coach Lovie Smith is still working on implementing his defensive scheme in Tampa, but quarterback is a priority for this franchise. Mariota is the best player on the board and will likely be the first one selected in April.

Would you be any bit surprised if Chip Kelly traded for his former quarterback in college? I sure wouldn't. Mariota's tools are perfectly suited for Kelly's uptempo offense, and there's no question that he'd love to be reunited in the NFL. The question remains about how much it would cost Philadelphia to trade for Mariota, but it surely would frighten opposing defenses if this combination occurs.
