With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, all sorts of rumors are flying around the NFL. The New Orleans Saints will be a team to keep an eye on come draft day, and there are plenty of directions the team could go. Without further ado, here are five last-minute Saints draft rumors.

Despite drafting the 5-foot-10 Brandin Cooks in the first round last year, the Saints have been linked to another 5-foot-10 receiver in Phillip Dorsett. If Dorsett were to land in New Orleans he would obviously provide an exciting option in the passing game, but it remains to be seen whether the team wants to add another undersized receiver after investing so much in Cooks.

Though the 2015 class lacks much in terms of quarterback talent, it’s been rumored that the Saints are high on Garrett Grayson, the quarterback out of Colorado State. The team wants to find a backup to groom behind Drew Brees, and Grayson is an option.

Speaking of potential quarterback additions, it’s been rumored that Sean Payton and the Saints are very high on former-Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty. If he’s available when the Saints pick in the second round, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Saints snag Petty.

2. New Orleans Really Likes Alvin Dupree at No. 13 Overall

One of my favorite pass rushers in the entire draft, Alvin Dupree has been heavily linked to the Saints at No. 13 overall. Dupree would certainly upgrade a pass rush that needs an infusion of young talent, and if the Saints were to pick him up, they likely wouldn’t regret it.

Prior to failing a drug test at the NFL Combine, Randy Gregory was a possible top-three pick in the draft; however, his fall could be New Orleans’ gain if he makes it to No. 13 overall. Gregory would give the Saints an elite defensive talent, and they would be foolish to pass him up if he were to fall to them.
