New York Jets Are Willing To Take On Zac Stacy's Baggage

Yikes. Zac Stacy is now one of the many running backs on the New York Jets‘ roster.

First the Jets drafted Bryce Petty, and now New York has traded for Stacy. What is this, upside Saturday? All online cheap shots aside, why not see what Stacy can do in camp? If you remember, Stacy has shown a few stretches worth salvaging.

The Jets acquired Stacy for the No. 224 pick overall in the draft (seventh round), a pick the St. Louis Rams used to draft former Baylor Bears linebacker, Bryce Hager.

The depth chart will be like shuffling a poker hand, but variety will become the spice of the Jets’ backfield life. New York now has a proven back in Stevan Ridley and if we see anything resembling the 2013 Stacy — 973 yards and seven touchdowns in just 12 games — why shouldn’t Jets fans expect to once again compete for second in the AFC East?
