According to the National Institute of Health, 8 percent of men and 0.5 percent of women of Northern European descent possess the common form of red-green colorblindness. With that being the case, last night’s game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets featuring the Nike orchestrated “Color Rush” uniforms was miserable for colorblind people who attempted to watch it.
Here’s what it looked like for those with the red-green colorblindness:

I don’t even know if it would be worth watching if I were colorblind. To these people, it wasn’t:
Sorry folks, being colorblind means a massive headache from TNF. No second half tweets from me.

For the 8% of American men like me that are Red-Green colorblind, this #JetsVsBills game is a nightmare to watch. No idea what’s going on.

If you are colorblind like me this @NFL game is going to be hard to follow. @buffalobills vs @nyjets

Maybe the NFL will think about this issue the next time they want to use these uniforms. Then again, it is the NFL we’re talking about, so it’s unlikely to change unless there was a significant drop in viewership.
