Many NFL coaches and players alike have been frustrated with Cam Newton‘s excessive dab celebrations throughout the season. But up until Super Bowl 50, no one was able to truly rain on the Carolina Panthers‘ parade, so Newton kept being Newton.
You just knew someone on the Denver Broncos was going to mock Newton by hitting the dab during the game. Andre Caldwell wasted no time in getting it done after a 22-yard reception on the opening drive of the game.

The Broncos went on to victory, and Newton didn’t bust a single dance move throughout the game thanks to an impregnable game plan cooked up by defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.
On Monday, Phillips decided to address Newton with this epic tweet.

While I don’t have a problem with Newton or any player who wants to ham it up after a huge touchdown or play, I do recognize that it infuriates opponents. Thus, if Newton is going to so blatantly celebrate his achievements, I have zero issue with him getting an abundance of grief in defeat.
Phillips, 68, seems to be having the time of his life over the past two days since Denver’s win. On Sunday night, Phillips joined some of his Broncos players at a party at a local nightclub and did some dabbing of his own.
