Penn State University defensive tackle Devon Still has been named to the 2011 ESPN Midseason All-American Team.

Still is a 6-5, 310-lb senior and is on track to graduate in December.

Here’s what ESPN had to say about the Nittany Lion:

Still, a senior from Wilmington, Del., has anchored one of the country’s best defenses. He has 30 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks for the Nittany Lions, who rank in the top five nationally in scoring defense, total defense, pass defense and pass-efficiency defense.

With middle linebacker Michael Mauti out for the season, Still will need to continue his dominating ways with the Lions set to face the best of the Big Ten in the coming weeks.

Coming off a 13-3 victory over Iowa, the 5-1 Nittany Lions will host Purdue this Saturday before finishing the season at Northwestern, home against #16 Illinois and #14 Nebraska, and on the road against Ohio State and #4 Wisconsin.
