The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have placed outside linebacker Moise Fokou on the injured reserve list with a sprained ankle, which he suffered in the Eagles’ 38-20 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Fokou started seven games at outside linebacker before he was benched for Akeem Jordan. In 11 games, Fokou collected just 16 tackles.

Fokou’s spot on the roster has been replaced by rookie linebacker Greg Lloyd Jr, the Eagles’ seventh round draft pick this year. Lloyd has not yet played in an NFL game.

His father, Greg Lloyd Sr, was a sixth round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1987. He ended up earning five Pro Bowl selections and establishing himself as one of the most devastating hitters in the National Football League.

The 4-7 Eagles will take on the 4-7 Seattle Seahawks in a Thursday Night Football battle, which will be televised on NFL Network.
