The Pittsburgh Steelers once again are among the league leaders in players selected to the Pro Bowl. The usual suspects for Pittsburgh are there once again. Ben Roethlisberger and Troy Polamalu are both scheduled to be in Hawaii.

Polamulu will be there for his 7th time in 9 NFL seasons. Big Ben has made the squad twice since being drafted in 2004, and this is his first appearance since the 2008 season.

The two veterans are joined by a trio of younger players. Center Maurkice Pouncey was voted to his 2nd career pro-bowl in as many seasons. Pouncey did not play in last year’s Pro Bowl due to the ankle injury that kept him out of the Super Bowl.

Wide Receiver Mike Wallace is making his 1st Pro Bowl after leading the Steelers in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Another Pittsburgh receiver will be joining Wallace in Honolulu, but as a kick returner. Antonio Brown will also be making his 1st career appearance as a kick returner.

Pouncey, Wallace, and Polamulu are all penciled in as starters at their respective positions for the AFC. The Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 29th, one week prior to the Super Bowl.
