South Kent Small Forward Zach Brown Commits To Wichita State Shockers
Wichita State has had a pretty fantastic year; they recently made a run to the Final Four and it is now paying dividends for their recruiting. South Kent forward Zach Brown recently announced his intention to join the Shockers; he admitted their Final Four run caught his attention.
“It played a big part,” Brown said to Rivals analyst Evan Daniels. “Knowing that they can actually win helped me with the recruiting process too and it’s going to help them with other people and help them get an even better class than they are recruiting.”
Brown will hopefully have a chance of making another run with the Shockers, although that would be a bit shocking to use a horrible pun. Nick Wiggins, Andrew Wiggins’ brother, is also part of the Shockers. Apparently the difference in their recruitment of Brown was the coaching staff.
“The coaching staff and how good of a relationship I have with them and how great of people they are,” he said. “The players are really good and they are a growing basketball school. Really the community that they have everyone is really supportive of them. Just how great of a coach he is. He really has only had one losing season. He’s just a winner and the relationship that he has with his players is unbelievable.”
Brown will apparently replace Cleanthony Early at the small forward position and he should have a chance to compete for playing time right away.
