Is Brock Lesnar WWE Bound?
Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

At UFC 141, former WWE champion Brock Lesnar retired after losing to Alistair Overeem by first round TKO.  Lesnar, who has had his UFC career stunted by injuries, retired due to a promise that he made to his wife and kids.  Of course, Lesnar is still going to need to get paid at some point.  Could a reunion with Vince McMahon and the WWE be on the horizon?

I’m going to be bold and say Lesnar is back in a WWE ring within 12 months.  Heck, he could be back at Wrestlemania this April if Vince would fork over a bunch of money.  Lesnar was a bonafide star from the second he stepped into the squared circle, even though his exit was not under great circumstances.  Lesnar left the WWE after a match at Wrestlemania with Bill Goldberg, a match widely panned due to both wrestlers leaving the company after the event.

I would love to see Brock back in the WWE, but not as a full timer.  I doubt he even has the passion to go full time again.  I could see him coming back for a short two to three month run and a Wrestlemania match.  Lesnar would be used to put over a budding young star.  I would imagine it would be a young face, since Lesnar plays the heel more effectively.

Here’s my prediction:  Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 29.  If you don’t know who Rollins is, look him up.  Youtube Tyler Black and enjoy some quality matches.  Rollins will get the call up to the main roster soon and Lesnar would be a perfect guy to put him over.

Lesnar already came back in WWE 12.  I won’t be shocked if he’s back for real in 2012.

  1. Rick Powell says:

Seth Rollins?! Are you serious bro?! There is no way they are going to a call up a kid that has never been on WWE tv before to work a program with BROCK LESNAR!
My prediction is that the “It begins” promos that have been airing on Monday Night Raw are indeed for ‘The Next Big Thing’ Brock Lesnar, I have no doubt that Brock knew he was going to retire from the UFC and has been in talks with Vince McMahon for quite some time now, Brock will return to the WWE on the second day of 2012 and “it will be the end of the world as you know it” or in other words it will be the end of the PG era in WWE and Brock will bring back the violence in a program for either the World Heavyweight Championship or WWE Championship,
I think it will be the World Heavyweight Championship against The Big Show after Big Show defeats Daniel Bryan on next weeks Smackdown,
The WWE Championship will be contested between CM Punk and Chris Jericho at WrestleMania.

So you don’t think that a kid who will be in a need of a positive rub next year to elevate himself as face, but Lesnar is going to come back to WWE on MONDAY? Not only that, he’s going to end the PG era and wrestle for the title within a month of quitting UFC.

      Bigger stretch than Seth Rollins

  2. Ste says:

I’m sorry, did you say your predicition was Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar at wrestlemania 29?

Here’s my much more accurate prediction. Seth Rollins gets released from his development deal before even appearing on Raw or Smackdown. Brock has a match at Wrestlemania 28 or 29 with The Undertaker.

    • Riley Schmitt says:

Undertaker is probably done this year as he’ll finish with Triple H. Rollins will be up on teh roster within 2 months. A young face is who needs a program with Lesnar. Why waste it on someone if it isn’t going to elevate them farther up the chain?
