WWE Rumors: Hulk Hogan Out, Sting In For Wrestlemania XXX

It’s usually a few months from now when Sting to WWE rumors start to pop up. But apparently this year is different. Sting is once again being linked to a match at Wrestlemania, mainly because of the current financial state of TNA. The second-rate organization is also reportedly in negotiations to bring Hulk Hogan back, but WWE feels they have a better chance to get the ICON, rather than HH (according to buzz across the internet).

As with any Sting to WWE buzz, it has to be taken with a grain of salt. It’s clear the two parties have spoken in the past, but nothing has ever panned out. This latest round of internet gossip could just turn out to be more talk. But Wrestlemania XXX might be different.

Given that TNA seems to be headed down the drain and that Sting’s career is winding down with each passing day, this year figures to be the best chance of ever getting the dream match fans have been demanding – Sting vs. Undertaker. This year’s Mania is almost certainly one of Taker’s last runs. I don’t necessarily think it will be his final one, but it may be the last time he gets a chance to face someone like Sting.

I believe Taker should face John Cena in his last match ever, which would have to be at WM. This year is not the year for that match. It feels like the perfect storm for Sting/Taker. No one really wants to see Lesnar/Taker or Ryback/Taker. The Sting match is the one true fans are clamoring for.

Stay tuned, because we’ve got about five more months of speculation to go.
