Welcome to the December 18 WWE Main Event review. This show aired from Austin, Texas.

Opening Segment: Mick Foley comes out as Foley Claus then Ryback and Curtis Axel interrupt him. They make fun of him but the the Miz stands up for him. Santa makes a match between Axel and MizYes that was very childish, but it’s for the kids. At least we got Foley portraying Santa instead of a paid actor.

R-Truth and Xavier Woods def. 3MB in 10.35: An okay match, but more importantly, it was about Woods getting ring time. They had plenty of time to work, but did nothing special. Woods and Truth is a good team that could be challengers for the titles down the road, but not anytime soon. (2/5)

AJ Lee def. Kaitlyn in 4:42Both women worked hard and put on a good match, but the problem is that they put on a better match than the ones that came before them. Kaitlyn acted like she didn’t want to be there, and I haven’t seen her on WWE programming since her feud with AJ Lee. They have good chemistry. (3.5/5)

The Miz def. Curtis Axel in in 8:34: A decent match that left me more confused than before. Is Miz a heel or a face? It’s as if the WWE doesn’t even know where they’re going with his character. It’s getting annoying, and I’m beginning to not care. This match was decent at best but nothing memorable.

Final verdict: I’m assuming this episode was a downgrade from the usual because of the holiday schedule. Honestly, the only good match on this show was the divas match.

Overall rating: 5/10 show rating.
