NXT's debut episode on Wednesday nights featured several marquee matchups, including a highly-anticipated clash of heavyweights, as well as a rematch for the NXT Heavyweight Championship. Although the show was not on par with the pay-per-view style events of NXT, it still provided quality sports entertainment. Here's a look at whose stock changed following the broadcast.

Baron Corbin’s long-awaited match with Bull Dempsey was far from a classic, but it was significant for Corbin, as it was his first true test in NXT. Corbin notched a convincing victory, and he’ll likely move on to bigger things. The big man still has a lot to prove in the ring, but he’s clearly headed in the right direction.

Bull Dempsey went down to Corbin without much of a fight in the battle of the heavyweights. The poor showing doesn’t bode well for Bull, as he’ll likely have to regroup and slowly rebuild his credibility as a dominant force. Additionally, the fans just do not seem invested in him at this juncture.

Adrian Neville came up short in his rematch for the NXT Heavyweight Championship, likely signaling the end of his time in the title picture. As expected, however, Neville delivered the goods in the ring, and he is arguably one of the best workers in the entire company. His promotion to the WWE could come very soon now that he’s seemingly concluded his feud with Sami Zayn.

Finn Balor - Up

After competing primarily in tag team action throughout his first few months in NXT, Finn Balor had the opportunity to showcase his skills as a singles competitor. Balor scored the victory in a solid matchup against Tyson Kidd. Balor’s appeal continues to grow after each match, and with the right storyline, he could become the biggest star in NXT very soon.

Sami Zayn’s first title defense as NXT Heavyweight Champion was a memorable one, as he bested Adrian Neville in a thrilling rematch from Takeover: R Evolution. Zayn again showed his knack for putting on an incredible match on the big stage. He suffered some brutal blows in the process, but he showed his resiliency in working through and ultimately prevailing. His pending feud with Kevin Owens could be one of the best in NXT history.
