Detroit Lions first round selection DT Ndamukong Suh is showing his appreciation to the fans of the Detroit Lions. Even though it appeared that Ndamukong Suh was trying to remove the head from the body of Cleveland Browns QB Jake Delhomme in week three, he showed a kinder, gentler side this afternoon on Twitter. He Tweeted that he was taking some time out to show his followers and fans some love.

The disruptive defensive tackle decided he would post a quick video with him responding to what appears to be a pile of letters from fans in a living room somewhere. You can watch the link right here.

It is refreshing to see a player taking time to respond to what appears to be fan mail on the table in front of him. Most players in the NFL now, show up to events and charge people to have them autograph an item, which is something I find most irritating. I never stand in line, I don’t collect autographs, I never even want pictures taken if I am fortunate to meet someone famous. However, for a player like Ndamukong Suh, who just received 43 million in guaranteed money before ever playing a snap in a regular season game, to not be reaching out to the fans would simply be wrong. Especially in an area like Detroit which has been so hard hit in the economic downturn.
