Report: Giants’ Tom Coughlin Voted Coach Players Would Least Like to Play For
(Jason O. Watson/US PRESSWIRE)

111 NFL players from 31 different teams recently participated in a poll about the 2011 season–with one of the questions being which coach would they least like to play for. The most popular answer–New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

According to The Sporting News, Coughlin received 22 of the 111 votes–which is just under 20 percent–from the players who participated in the survey. Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano was in a close second behind Coughlin with 21, but that shouldn’t really come as a surprise considering he most likely won’t last beyond 2011 considering his team’s disappointing 1-7 start.

Despite winning Super Bowl XLII back in 2008, Coughlin has enjoyed an interesting experience with the Giants since joining the team in 2004 considering his head coaching status has been in question numerous times. The players conducted in this survey may have voted Coughlin as the coach they would least like to play for, but that may change if New York continues to play as well as they have over the last few weeks.
